Support our project that will be the future for hundreds of children. Thanks to your donations, we can complete this institutions quickly, where poor and orphaned children will receive free education for generations.

Rasūlullāh (sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When a man dies, his acts come to an end apart from three: recurring charity (sadaqatul jariyah), or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious child, who prays for him.”

There are approximately 1.3 million Muslims in Nepal, comprising 4.4% of the total population. There are many barriers to the enrolment and attendance of children to education including poverty, social exclusion, migration, child labour and the mainly mountainous terrain. A quarter of the population live on less than £1 a day. Recent disasters have made it harder for children, especially from poorer families and orphans to reach education.

Nepal suffered a major earthquake in April 2015 where more than 9,000 people died and 23,000 were injured. Almost a third of the whole population was affected.

Nepal is also one of the most vulnerable countries to climate change. Severe rainfall, floods and droughts have become even more common.

We place a huge emphasis on working together with local charities to get to the core of the problem and help many children from poor families and orphans be able to receive good education in a safe and secure environment. That’s why, we believe it is key to help fund the boarding institutions which will be a beacon of hope for the children of Nepal. The challenges facing the children and families of Nepal are complex. Every day brings them a new struggle. We will strive to help these children reach the education they deserve to enable themselves and their families and communities to build a better future.

With your contributions, we will be funding two boarding institutes in Kathmandu, Nepal, one for boys (40 capacity) and one for girls (35 capacity). These boarding institutes will offer safe and warm accommodation to poor children and orphans who will continue their school education, whilst at the same time will receive tuition support, mentoring, they will organise social and sports activities together and have reliable environment in order to progress in their educations. The students will be offered 2 hot meals a day from our designated cooks. The project will fund its rent in full, all the utility bills and purchase all furniture and equipment to be used by the students.

In this project you can contribute towards the monthly or annual rent of the boarding institutes or pay any of its utility bills. Also, you can purchase a desk, a chair or any furniture the children will use, or if you are feeling very generous you can sponsor a whole class or room of furniture. Remember that these furniture will not only be used by one student, but as they graduate and new students enrol, they will be used by hundreds of students over the years.
